SUNNING

3 minutes/day

  1. Stand facing the sun with your eyes closed and palms toward the sun for 3 minutes

  2. With eyes closed, see the pure light going through each bone in your body from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet

  3. When you get to your feet, feel roots like a tree extend out from your feet into the earth, feel the earth’s unconditional support. Now take that unconditional support and rise it up through your body back to the top of your head

  4. When you get to the top of your head feel the sun’s rays washing through every part of your brain, bringing life and vitality to every fold and synapse

  5. Feel the sun’s warmth on your skin. Give thanks for the light it brings so you can see, and the life it brings so you can experience life with all of your senses

  6. Lastly, open your eyes (away from the direct sun) and look around you. What do you see? What are you thankful for?

(Most sunburns are due to too much adrenaline in the body causing the skin to become acidic. By restoring the body’s ability to make serotonin and melatonin it signals the skin to produce more melanin.)
